Z-Fold Greeting Cards

This is just a tri-fold card where the right flap has been folded differently. Instead of folding the right flap over to the left and on top of the middle third, you fold the right hand side so it goes underneath or behind the middle third. This makes it look like a Z from the side. When you are making the card, fold the right hand side over to the left. Now flip the card over horizontally (left to right). Fold the new right hand size over to the left again.

With the tri-fold you get two independent card faces to decorate before the reader gets to the words and they can only see one face a time. In the Z fold variation, instead of the reader just seeing one face at a time because of the way they have to open it, you can pull a Z fold open and see all 3 surfaces at one time.
